Our History
To fully understand and get to know Family Pol Business, one has to go way back and start from the parent company from which everything originated.
It was a small family-owned company officially founded as CESAF s.a.s in 1967 as a construction company. Yet, the foundations of the company were laid much earlier in 1945 with the establishment of the original workshop.
Over the years, the management of the company has remained in the family, passing from generation to generation. Diego Pol took over management in 1992 and since then, the company has undergone significant transformations highly dependent on the changes experienced over the past 30 years in the construction market.
To cope with an ever-changing world and to continue to guarantee work and growth, starting in the 1990s first and 2000s later, CESAF s.a.s began to deal with the installation of low, medium, and high-voltage power lines, thus becoming an important supplier for this service at the national level. CESAF is also specialized in the supply and installation of photovoltaic panels and highly specific metal carpentry, both representing our strengths in foreign markets as well. With the advent of the new millennium and the exponential growth of mobile telecommunications, CESAF focused on the installation, operation, and maintenance of radio base stations for the major domestic mobile operators.
However, the company’s core business has never been forgotten. In the face of the heavy crisis that the construction sector experienced in Italy, the owner Diego Pol decided to make this sector flourish again in Africa, precisely in Monrovia, Liberia. In 2011, with a Liberian partner, he founded a new company, CESAF LIBERIA Ltd, a local subsidiary created and operating on Liberian soil.

In just a few years, on the strength of Italian know-how, the resourcefulness of the owner and the great growth opportunities in the African market, CESAF LIBERIA Ltd has become a leading general contract and turn-key deliverance company in Liberia. Contracts have been completed in the African country for prestigious works – including for government agencies – such as the Central Bank of Liberia, National Social Security Corporation, Monrovia Breweries Inc, the West African Regional Fisheries Project (subsidized by the WB), GLS-NAS and Mission Aviation Fellowship just to name a few.
The events of recent years have certainly put a strain on the global economy and CESAF LIBERIA Ltd along with CESAF SRL are certainly no exception. Restrictions on international travel and operations imposed by the spread of COVID-19 have temporarily halted activities on African soil, putting the company in trouble and causing and fueling disagreements between the two partners.
The rift, unfortunately, reached a point of no return, and therefore in 2020, Mr. Diego Pol matured the decision to open a new company in Liberia the Family Pol Business, a construction company that is fully operational on Liberian soils.
On the strength of the relationship with loyal customers and the experience gained in Africa in the previous decade, F.P.B. although recently established, has an excellent portfolio of customers as well as a more than positive turnover, especially considering the limited period of activity.
